Meditation is sleeping while waking, sleeping without sleeping, and through it we find all the answers we need to know about life and death, about how to deal with our daily life, our family relationships and our financial business. We don’t fear the end of the world, we don’t fear recession and we don’t fear having no job, because at that time we know how to work according to the situation without standing there stamping our feet or waiting for something that is not in our share. We’re happy, and we can find a resolution to any problem that we face, every day. We’re happy in all circumstances, and many sicknesses and sorrows will just leave us. And all our worldly desires will also gradually say goodbye. This is the only solution to every problem.

If we cannot get over our pride, our stubbornness and our narrow thinking, we cannot get beyond where we are. It is up to us to check ourselves, to remind us what to do. That is the way it is. That's why the Way is completely ours, very individual, very easy; but very difficult, because we cannot go over ourselves, we cannot go beyond what we think. That's the trouble. So try to be careful on this point, and lift yourself upward.

清海無上師 甘露法語 - [在世明師超凡的愛與無邊的智慧]

殺生的能量會留在大氣層裡，直到愛和寬恕的能量去化解它，如果殺太多動物，大氣中累積太多這種暴力的氣氛，當人們經過這種磁場時，就會覺得很激動，甚至有暴力傾向，想傷害別人或殺別人，因而導致戰爭，不論是已爆發或即將爆發的戰爭，都會增長暴力的能量。而且這種殺生的能量會造成災難，所謂的天災或人禍，都是因為傷害、折磨或殺其他眾生，所產生的暴力能量。連憎恨或暴力思想也會產生壞的能量，進而汙染我們賴以維生的大氣，帶來災難、戰爭或麻煩。

The killing energy will also stay inside the atmosphere, until the forgiving energy and the loving energy dissolve it. So if we kill too many animals, we will also incur upon our atmosphere a lot of this kind of violent atmosphere. And when people pass through this kind of atmosphere by chance, they will become irritated, or they might even want to act violently or to harm somebody, hurt somebody, or kill somebody. And that’s adding to war, which already happened or going to happen. It’s adding to the violent energy. Also, this kind of killing energy will also make disaster, like we call it natural or man-made disaster; it is all because of violent energy from killing or harming or hurting or torturing living beings. Even hatred or violent thought also creates bad energy and in turn will pollute the atmosphere that we live in and create some other disaster or war or trouble.
